Personal Tasks
It will be great to assign personal tasks without any need to create groups in order to track personal workloads.

PLEASE.

Definately a must-have! There is every reason to enable employees to manage their individual tasks in MS Planner. Third-Party Solutions (eg Wunderlist) is really no Option...

Oh dear I am afraid this is a show stopper for my Team. I don't think we can adopt Teams/Planner without this feature. We all need the ability to track team related and personal/private tasks from the same plane of glass. How disappointing.

The first feature I checked once I came across Planner app is the ability to create personal tasks. Please give this feature.

Come on Planner Team, update on this please? Really quite essential to have a single source of truth for tasks, not having to go Wunderlist - Outlook/To-Do - Planner as duplicates.

Couldn't agree more with this. I use Wunderlist (To Do) for personal, but would love to integrate professional and personal tasks into one interface.

Agree, I would like to leverage the brilliance of Planner to manage my To Do items

If your team starts using planner, it becomes another place you have to go for your tasks.
If there was personal tasks where a user could manage their own tasks privately, it could all be combined in one place, making it a much more useful tool.

This is a huge need for us. Any updates?

This is really a must, IMO. Many users - including me - want to have ALL their tasks, professional as well as personal, managed from a single canvas.

~Wiesje "so why not a personal Planner?"
Nailed it.

Many people keep track of personal tasks via different methods - like tasks in Outlook, an excel sheet or a piece of paper. It would be great if a Planner was attached to your OneDrive/MyDrive personal SP Online site.
The main reason for this is that you can keep all your tasks in one place without having to add third party software.
I asked a few people in our extended team today where they keep their personal tasks and why they weren't added to a teams planner - and their answer "It does not belong to a team, they are my tasks, either too small or just something I need to do for myself". They really want a personal planner with their own buckets. And then when they look at My Tasks, they will see their complete work load.
Creating an extra group per personal user seems a little bit overkill, especially as a person has their own OneNote and Document library now, so why not a personal Planner?

+1 having one place to manage all tasks, very handy

I agree that Microsoft Planner should encompass individual as well as group projects. Once a team makes an investment in Planner, building out buckets and tasks, it is inefficient to be exiled back to Outlook "tasks" for individual tasks, and yet over-exposed to be logging solitary tasks in a team context.
