Be able to delete and/or edit comments
It does not appear to be possible to delete comments once posted. It would be useful to be able to delete and/or edit these comments.

At least the person who entered the comment in Microsoft Planner should be able to edit or delete the comment

Also, multiple times, I've lost my entire comment (sometimes after spending an hour+ adding to it), because I accidentally clicked off the task, which shockingly causes Planner to then close the task. If I knew I could edit it after posting, I might have gone ahead and posted it, but because I can't edit, I wait until I know it's done to post, significantly increasing the risk of data loss.

Use the same engine used in Teams for Chat and Post -- that supports edit, delete, and allows for the critical ability to paste images, formatted text, etc. and this already exists in a similar Microsoft system.
As others have said these are standard capabilities in competing products like Trello, Asana, Jira, etc. Planner's uneditable plain-text-only Comments and Notes are BY FAR the biggest problem with Planner for our organization.

Add this feature because it just makes sense! We shouldn't have to delete the task and recreat it due to this lack of simple functionality.

That's crazy. Hey Microsoft team, have a look at trello. Not being able to edit one's own comment is ******, and must not be a hassle to implement.

An administrator should be able to turn editing of comments on or off.
Maybe there should be a version history of each comment visible to the user adding the comment and administrators. -

I believe through Outlook - you can go in and delete comments for the group.

Need edit capability. Ridiculous that Microsof think they know better than all the users and seem to be purposefully ignoring all the requests to change this.

Huge frustration and inefficient; example if new information comes to light or something put there is simply wrong, it needs someone to read everything and work out what to take as fact etc. Please get this fixed. Thanks.

Revisions or clarifications to comments are neccessary to prevent disinformation - edit/delete is essential
