How long will it be before we can do this please? Desperately in need of it
@planner Team: Please make this happen in the very near future! My company is currently using Trello due to this (very simple) missing feature... PLEASE ESCALATE!
This would have more votes if other such requests were merged with it. The other ones I found easily are:
and I'm sure there's many more
Please prioritise this!
This is a huge disadvantage in Planner/Teams - there's no notification to the task owner when comments are made unlesss I assign it to myself also and it holds up work, creates confusion on my own project management and is something that is table stakes in other platforms.
This has been years - your competitors have this function. When can we expect it?
This option is already available by many competition apps!
Ridiculous this is not a feature. All other apps like this have it.
As my team is moving to the MS One-Stop-Shop in teams, this huge. The only way to notify others of updates is to assign them to the task, then how do you know who the original owner is? Seems like a HUGE UX miss.
4 years on and still not in the product? This is a significant feature missing.

Plus 1 here! Please consider this!!
We need the mention to be available in the check list as well.
just incomprehensible that microsoft can't do it.
Funny how the Planner roadmap doesn't list this feature.
Are you gonna wake up when all your customers already left for Trello?
Is there any update on this one? being asked for 4 years and planned for 2 years.

Please add mentioning to Teams Planner

This was the deal breaker that made us use a different application for task/project tracking.
It would be so great to be able to mention a collegue even in the bullet list. One is responsible, but different things in the list would be assignet to different persons.
Adding another vote to this. PLEASE PLEASE add this feature.
