great idea. can we get the votes from this duplicate suggestion merged with this one? https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525-microsoft-planner-feedback-forum/suggestions/15348036-allow-mentions-in-post-from-within-the-planner-ap

I saw you can add mention in the people/group/conversations, but in the email and planner this option is not working, this is confusing.
Agree, Must have,
If no mention no one would interest into comment section, or check whether he/she mentioned in discussion every time

Yes, this feature would be very appreciated.

Agreed with the others. My team uses this capabilities extensively in our current project management tool. The ability to "mention" any user creates a ability to keep all conversation about the issue in the tool. Without the ability to "mention" you have to resort to email or other comm platform outside of Planner to contact and pass along information. Thereby, spreading the "story" about the issue across multiple platforms. This creates gaps and opportunities to lose information - an unnecessary project risk.

This is a "Must Have".
Social Commenting is super important for Planner

this is a must have as one should be able to have a "conversation" in the comments. This or in someway integrate a groups "chat" with a specific task on planner.

we use this a LOT with our current project management platform
