I love how Microsoft wants Teams to be the new hub and it is, yet the integrations are horrible. How has this not been implemented yet? Planner task comments are currently absolutely useless. Please just integrate the comments into Teams and allow @mentions that will give a notification in Teams.

This is a must have for us.

This is absolutely needed. The lack of this ability significantly reduces the functionality of planner as you cannot engage staff, or anyone that has not previously commented in a discussion on the task.

The amount of black tea is adjusted with a teaspoon. The most basic amount is 1 tablespoon per cup. http://xn--o80b910a26eepc81il5g.vom77.com

wow, 2.5 years already X . X
Please help ... though Trello and Slack are good, but Planner is integrated better with MS Team, and one less data respository concernP.S. oh, from Collin's message, it's 5 years, not 2.5.

Really in need of this function. We really struggle without it. We ask everyone to write a comment in when they get assigned so that in future they can get notified if comments but then every assignee gets notified. So many emails! Then people start ignoring them. Please, please can we have this feature soon!

Any update on this? seems pretty straightforward to me that one should be able to use @ to tag a colleague in the comments.
right now the only way to bring a task to someone's attention is to assign them which isn't right -

@collins - hadn't realised it's been 5 years. Starting to think maybe its an impossible task for some reason. If that's the case, I wish they'd just tell us so we can move on...

In 2 weeks now it will be 5 years since this was requested. 5 years for Microsoft to add a functionality to call attention to a team member in an app which is supposedly for collaboration. 5 freaking Years! Come on!

Literally a critical feature. If this isn't Planner's no.1 roadmap priority then you're bananas.
It's barely usable without it. Basic user scenario - 2 people are collaborating on a task, one person says: 'Hey @joeblogs ive just added an attachment, left a note, and here's a comment @mentioing you specifically'
....end scenario.
Joe Blogs hasn't been notified of the attachment, the note, the comment, or even the @mention of his name. Despite being the owner of that task. It's kind of the whole point of project management. When the Teams integration was built, i thought to myself 'Ah finally! Teams collaboration!' buuuuuut nope. Still can't notify people. Even though the app is called 'Teams' - not much teamwork going on with this one!
Personally, I feel it must have been part of the MVP? Very weird!!

This is a 4 year old request with >3000 votes and the last 'we are planning on doing it' status summer of 2018. Hoping this gets more attention soon.

+1 Planner notification options are far too all-or-nothing right now. We need to be able to target team members with @ mentions, just like Teams. I'm having to dual-message in Planner and Teams right now because team members aren't reliably getting alerted on Planner cards. And for the people who _are_ getting Planner alerts, the double-tap from Teams is adding too much noise to their inbox.

make @replies possible. It's a real pan without. Getting spammed with unnecessary notifications al time long, @reply would make it much more easy !!

MICROSOFT! Please add the functionality of tagging people in the comment section of Tasks. This is so so critical for proper process flow in the kanban view!
