Ability to mention collegue in comments section
We currently don’t have any updates on this item, but it is planned and moving up on our backlog. Thank you for your feedback and patience!

Surprised this is not there - so essential when you work collaboratively with boards
As below - No-one has a clue when a task they are assigned to has a comment and therefore they are not responding to comments and the task goes nowhere.
I cannot use Planner until this feature is implemented. Noone has a clue when a task they are assigned to has a comment and therefore they are not responding to comments and the task goes nowhere.

How is the status of this update? 'Planned' is communicated 1,5 years ago..

please update @mention in Planner soon, I can not wait anymore

Please implement this ASAP.
Agreed this feature is key to keeping focus within Teams verses navigating to outlook. Our integration to office 365 is not complete but once it is this will need to work. Thank you for considering the additional feature.
Are you using your own planner to control your backlog?
must have been missed by your team member, because you couldn't tag them in it?
what everyone else said... when is this moved to the in-progress status?

18 Months - no updates.
If planner was for "users to collaborate on tasks" - @mentions or @me are essential.... breaking out to EMAIL or chat about the task OUTSIDE the tracking system is not helpful....
@PlannerTeam - please reconsider how this feature brings collaboration back to the task, and supports the products core purpose.

I totally agree - the lack of possiblity to @ colleagues working together on a task is a major drawback and has created a lot of difficulty for our large team now going from Basecamp to Office 365 with Planner. I sincerely hope for focus and update on this issue shortly.

This is a must. Switching everything over to trello if not fixed ASAP

The ability to @ mention people in comments is crucial!
@mention feature in comments section is essential. Giving the task to more than one person is a waste of time and by mentioning someone in comments, giving the task to multiple persons is avoided.

The lack of mentions is probably the largest issue I have and the main reason I tried this tool and stopped. Definitely a must have.
Make this happen ! That is a BASIC FEATURE for COLLABORATION SOFTWARE !!!!
FFS add this feature it's the dealbreaker stopping us from using planner!

cant scale without the @mentions, using Planner now but having to do lots of manual updates, emailing of comments etc. very clunky without it... currently using with 3 offices and 100 ppl. could easily use worldwide - if i can scale it... sharepoint integration, forms, etc is SO GOOD... cant wait to see this developed. thanks for the hard work ;-)
Any updates on this, Planner Team? 1.5 yrs is a long time to have it planned with no update - this is an absolutely essential feature to any software that requires collaboration.
The planner is basically useless without this function. Please can you update this ASAP. Im working with a team in China and Planner is the only option as all other software is banned there. Its basically useless for collaborative work without the @mention function
