So frustrating that that this is not currently available and that it's been in the works since 2018! I may have to move my whole team to Trello. Without an @mention feature, it is impossible for someone to know that a comment was made. Please add this ASAP!

Planner is great but can't understand why you are unable to @ individuals like you can in Teams Chat for example. Looks like this has been requested for quite a while and would like to know what you are working on as an improvement to the tool if this not one of them.... come on MS switch on and start sparking. Your update is dated Jan 18... anyone in the office?

Planned in 2018, and still no progress... This is really a pitty.
This feature is crucial. Users are missing lots of comments and try to find a workaround, just because of this simple feature missing in planner.....

Such a basic feature and it makes it difficult to steer away from Trello.
Any updates on the development timeline?
This is a classic one that you expect but miss in your requirements. Was a bit of a shock when it didn't have it as a feature. I had a bit of egg on my face after migrating from Trello.

So I add a comment to assist in the issue and then I need to copy that comment in an email to the same person - that's progress for you.
@Planner Team: Your last update was from 2018. Are there any news?
We as a company of 350 people really need this feature to work with teams efficiently.
In asana we have this feature and it's such a basic one to use.

Can't use planner ourselves before this is implemented. Also can't recommend planner over Trello before this is done.
An update on current thinking would be nice.
I do not care about email notifications - we want to move away from email to handle work.

I am trying to advocate for Planner. There's so many benefits to integrating with our Microsoft Office ecosystem, but I'm going to have a hard time convincing my team to make the switch from Basecamp to Planner if the @mention feature doesn't exist. :'(
This has been suggested for at least 4 years!!!! And planned for a year and a half!! How difficult could it be to implement this feature? Every basic social media platform has it. Come on, guys! Please? Pretty please?
