Ability to filter cards by people, labels and tags
Ability to filter the cards on a board by people, labels and tags to be able to view e.g. only the cards with a specific label or with a specific hashtag in the title

We’ve just released a Filter menu in Planner where you can filter tasks by due date, label, or assignee. You can also enter a keyword to search for a task by it’s title!
We value your suggestions and comments highly – thank you for contributing to this feature.

Fully agree. Very surprised this is not already a feature.

My team use the flags to show the importance of tasks. It would be good if we could filter, sort or group by these flags.

using the Group by Progress option at present, but be able to filter this to see progress of tasks by each team member individually.

I would also like to be able to filter by bucket so that I can look at the status view for one or two buckets at a time.

Filtering options for viewing boards and charts would be beneficial to using planner more productively

We use for our team the boards, but when clicking on a name every card will become blue, but it would be nice if there is also an option to real filter on this.

We should be able to filter tasks to view them by due date. Having the newest task at top isn't always helpful, and I should have to drag them around.

Yes, please.
I usually use Trello and this is killer-feature missing. -

Why would you be able assign a label if you can't filter by them? I need to be able to group and filter tasks in different ways (by bucket, date due, label, assigned to, etc.). This is a key missing feature that's making Planner hard to use. Check out how Trello does this.

Yes I am surprised this is not a feature, it is another reason why I initially think planner is great, then stop using it because of this

+1 Planner could be an excellent tool for Get the things done (GTD) metodology but filter by labels/tags is a foundation to be efficient selecting the task you have to do.

It would be great to able to filter on any word in the tasks.
Including labels. -

Yes please. I have been searching for a way to filter. Seems obvious that you would want to see the task that are due the soonest at the top!

Currently the menu at the top of a Bucket is only rename and delete. It would be useful if that menu was expanded to include a sort function which would then sort the tasks in the bucket (e.g. by A-Z (asc, desc), start date (asc, desc), due date (asc, desc) assignee, and a highlight function, which would basically "filter" according to similar criteria

It should be possible to filter fasks within a board by the labels assigned to them. This would make the planner incredibly powerful! Also, other Kanban-based products provide this feature.....

In addition to this we should also be able to create different levels of views such that we can define one attribute for the high level view, then another attribute to drive the next level down, etc. We could have owner or business unit, assigned to, category, etc. and different people may want to see things from a different top level or other level down.

Yes! And add the ability to filter by tag across multiple boards please (like in Asana). This would make Planner incredibly powerful.

Just like Trello, be able to view tasks, in date order, and filtered to how imminently they are due.
