Track percent complete for in progress tasks.

Currently the only status on the task is in progress, not started, completed, or late (if you assign a due date). It would be nice to have a percent complete entry for in progress tasks. I nice slider bar visual would be a good way to set it. This way it also opens it up for integration with other systems (like Project Online) to rollup percent complete of the plan to a high level task in Project Online.

    If the percent complete is not an option please leave to users a field where enter their own % lof completation or some specific milestones to the task.

    I would expand this to request the enable a user to create a template that can be used as a planner card. This isn't much different than like in MS Forms. However, if they just want to add specific fields to planner cards I would add % complete as well as an estimated LOE (numeric or alpha) to each of the attached people resources.

    Its been 4 years since the idea is shared here, still not implemented. Not sure if Microsoft understands the importance of user's feedback. This is a must have feature is a Task management platform.

    Percentage of completion and display of efforts burnt and pending efforts are the needed basic statistics.. Please include them.. or shall i program a plugin and include it possibly?
    An inprogress is a status accompanied by amount of completion.. or some quantifiable value..

    I like to have the percent complete visible on card (optional).
    The possibility to sort via percent complete would be nice, too.

    Also it would be great to have a custom "progress" or more options like PAUSED, WAITING FOR TASK X to complete (with auto change to specific progress like in progress),

    If the percent complete is not an option, what about a free form list. Users can create say up to 5-6 levels of progress.
    1. 0%
    2. 20%
    3. 40%
    4. 60%
    5. 80%
    6. 100%

    enter your own % levels or some specific milestones to the task.

    I'd like to DOWNvote this requirement. % estimates always needs a common understanding in the team anyway, to represent the actual progress. Therefore I am very happy to just have "Open", "Active" and "Done".

    it would be nice to have more than the three values 0, 50 and 100% completed to send them as a daily summary of all buckets (maybe generated out of the done things in the checklist compared to all tasks in the checklist)

    Not sure why it is taking Microsoft so long to implement this feature. Please add this feature as soon as you can.

    Project tracking will be difficult without monitoring the task progress in percentage.
