Having an offline app will help with keeping the plans up to date when you are not online. For example: preparing and updating plans on a plain

No internet access = no work with Planner

Attachments need to be downloaded and made accessible offline. I work on airplanes a lot and planner is not helpful in this respect.

As planner is supposed to be a task manager, it doesn't really work without an offline functionality. It must be possible to access the tasks all the time even in cases where connection is an issue or when travelling. Otherwise tasks would need to be managed in Outlook only (which has an offline functionality) and then the big values for teams with planner integration gets weakened... Hence this is an essential functionality for me and for my transition to O365. Not sure why this wasn't considered as a priority so far.

This is a very important function for task planning to continue even if we are offline.

In Germany you can't use Planner with mobile phones because mobile Network is not avaiable in most Areas.

Being able to track, add and update tasks whilst on the move is a critical capability for many mobile workforces. Internet connection is often not available whilst travelling so this is a must have and I share the comments below that ask why such a simple feature for a cloud based offering is not available.
Looking forward to using planner when this is added. -

We are using planner for task worldwide, unfortunately not all venues or events have a steady internet connection. Moreover when travelling, we have time to update planner and it does not work which is a shame.
We would welcome an offline planner app to save time and avoid double filling planning, tasks and deadlines. Thank you. -

We are using planner for task worldwide, unfortunately not on all parts of the globe they have a steady internet connection, our people for example in the content of Africa have limited access to the internet. When the Planner App could be used offline this would help us a lot and would save us a lot work and wasting time on double filing planning and tasks.
We would welcome an offline planner app with a big hooray. -

This is a requirement for people who only have time on the plane to add tasks.

This would be a massive help for us. We are a tourism company and run boats to the Great Barrier Reef and buses into remote rainforest areas. We are not always guaranteed of mobile reception and in engine compartments we can have no wifi or sporadic mobile reception. This would enable us to use a single system for all maintenance and improve out efficiency greatly. We currently have to use other systems and transfer the data which is time consuming and proving to be prone to error. I'd add 1000 votes to this if I could.

Why is this not a thing yet? Two years and nothing?

How do you still not have offline capabilities? It is insane this is a 2 year old thread. For business travelers & international travelers this is a must and such a basic requirement it is sad I have to go to Trello to find it.

Urgently needed for us travelling workers to brainstorm or complete task on the go (e.g. on planes) and sync back once online again!

It would be nice to be able to use the time on the subway to review and update plans, but Washington DC's third world subway system lacks internet access, so this product is useless without some kind of local or mobile app that can function without a connection.

This is critical to make this valuable. When I come to work on the train I want to organise my tasks for the day and cannot as the connection is not good enough. This is not logical

I am intrigued with using Planner and Teams in O365 - however - having been a Trello user to date - the offline piece is really critical. You have done so with Teams (aka I can move here from Slack) - however - to perfect it - the offline Planner is essential.
