Provide the ability to create Plan templates with existing tasks that can then be used to create a new plan
Rather than having to create every plan from scratch it would be good if the system allowed for the creation of Templates with pre-existing tasks (like in Word/Excel). This would allow a new plan and its tasks to be created from a template saving a lot of time.

We’re planning on pursuing the following improvements to copy plan:
1) Enable users to copy a plan within an existing group
2) Copy plan in Teams
Currently we are booked through November working on three BIG initiatives, but should have an update on scheduling soon after.
In the meantime, we’d love to hear how you’re currently using copy plan and any other improvements we should pursue.

Any update from MS on this since Nov 2? I'm currently delaying a project in hopes that this feature hits production.
Any ETA for Planner templates? We are planning a full Office 365 roll-out but hestiate in doing so prior to templates being available. Unfortunately, our team will not embrace entering tasks for each project (400+ a year).

So is the plan copy option available yet? Without this feature, Planner is not a feasible solution for us. We would be better off paying for Monday.com or similar. Please provide an update.
My version of MS Teams Planner has this functionality now. The only problem is that when you create a copy, the copy and original inherit updates from each other.
So if I create a Plan as a template, then copy it to create a new plan. All good. everything is there. Then I go in and start checking of steps in individual tasks and updating times/dates and adding assignees, it mirrors those actions on the template plan and vice versa.
Need to figure out how to not do that. or limit the items that mirror updates.
I hope this Feature coming soon. I really need a Plan-Template.

Hi Planner Team! Final Phases were noted above in November 18 - post holiday and into Feb now - what is the ETA? Out organisation doesn't want to use a 3rd party software, but depends on your schedule... Look forward to seeing the copy option!

Our company is busy moving from ASANA to Plans and this is an absolute "Must Have" as we have 30 main tasks separated into 5 different departments :
These "Plans" serve as the projects that need to be archived once Billing has commenced.
Please advise on projected completion as this is the main reason we are using the product - to manage projects.
My projects managers cannot be creating tasks from scratch when there are set templates to work from.
Your URGENT feedback would be greatly Appreciated.
