Adding an Excel Connector to showcase Microsoft Office tools (and mass load cards)! Excel the original project tool.

Please add this, we are in 2017 and cutting and pasting between applications is the norm. Not 1994 when we had use Object Linking and Embedding in Windows 3.11 and was a complete nightmare ;-)

        Alejandro CHOCONTA.
The system has Kanban principles and very similar to the Trello application, other reasons, to add add-ons such as: productivity analysis, maximum loads, inefficient resources, which can be facilitated by exporting to MS Excel and integrated with Project to see the Tasks in time.

Seconded on Planner Manager. $2/month import all Planner tasks, various views (Calendar, Gantt) and export to Excel for reporting. I just found it, it's working well so far. Also it includes their Outlook add-in for linking Planner tasks to Outlook (sync tasks, link to emails).

Planner would gain more traction if it were able to import/export projects via Excel, text files, XML, et al, for reporting and for when projects were begun in another tool or format, or in the absence of any tool. Started using Planner over SharePoint Tasks because could group Tasks (into Buckets) and group those groupings into projects (Plans). The Plan-specific file storage, notes, and other features have worked out well, also. However, being able to import projects (Plans) already begun elsewhere is highly desired.

This is urgently needed, from a Project Management perspective a planning tool that does not allow an export of the data to perform Reports is counter productive.

I want to use the planner to manage tasks, but need to export the list, assignees and status for reporting to management
