Export to Excel
Ability to export Plan data to Excel
Hello and thank you for your feedback!
We have designed and scoped our first iteration for for customer ask – your comments below on what you’d like to see have helped us a lot!
This item has made it’s way up our backlog and we’re hoping to start on it soon. We don’t have an ETA to share on this yet.
The Planner Team
Please get this done soon... it's a feature we've been waiting for a long while....

What’s the ETA on this?
And still waiting....
3 years waiting. Excellent progress Planner Team...
We're about to decide what common planning tool to use (+250 employees). We won't use a tool which doesn't have a XLS export feature.. This is a deal breaker.
When do you expect this to be released?
Keen to be able to use an excel spread sheet to do brain storming of backlog items and then to be able to import into Planner using a set template in excel
Add Import and Exports feature.
Export to Excel and/or link with Power BI needed asap please
We can choose date interval (start and end) for tasks but there is no option about choosing hour. It's very important to follow task by hourly. That will effect to export process.
Export Planner Task Buckets to Excel with Bucket Name, Estimated Start Date, Estimated End Date, Estimated Cost Estimate, Actual Start and End Dates, Actual Cost.

Please make sure this feature includes the IMPORT FROM EXCEL function

Do you have an update of deadlines?
I am planning on using this as a pseudo ERP system.
We have several Teams in our organisation, one of our Directors uses a planner to manage his Leads, it would be great if he could drag a task (lead) from his Sales Planner into a "WIP Planner" (where each staff member is a bucket), so that a Manager could then schedule the Task as an actual Job to be done.
Also would be good to have an overview planner / sub-planner hierarchy to allow a director to see all teams to know who has most capacity to handle the new job... weather this is native in planner or via an export function I dont mind.
its available already as an excel Iplanner add-on ....works reasonably well, on O365 at least

This is probably the most important feature for my organization to fully utilize Planner.
We need to be able to export the list so we can present reports - organize and take notes, especially when we have very large plans (300 + items)
The second use would be so when using Planner for our backlog, we can move items into the other plans that we use to track (Project / Excel / TFS) so we can track effort and workflow.
Any target timeline?

Enabling PowerBI support is a better solution then opting for Excel export.
I need to track costs, staff resource across multiple plans and excel would provide a great platform for this but planner is much more user friendly. Can you export an update from planner (all plans or single plan) with a unique identifier number per task so that I can update excel with the changes in planner?
