I want a "Convert to Task Planner" button for emails
Most of our tasks come in via email, a simple button to convert it to a planner task would be imperative, otherwise it renders the planner a little bit pointless for us.
4,033 votesAs an update, our colleagues in To-Do have delivered the ability to create tasks directly from Outlook.com!
To-Do has rolled out the Tasks Pane for Outlook.com’s Mail & Calendar, and is also the new Tasks for Outlook.com! With Planner’s & To-Do’s integration, we hope that To-Do will become a central hub for all of your personal tasks, and that switching to Planner to collaborate with others is seamless!

Office Planner PowerShell module
Can the Office Groups PowerShell cmdlet set be extended to include additional commands for Get, Set, New actions relating to Plans, Tasks, Buckets, everything? This should include the ability to save a Plan as an empty template as in SharePoint

Full Plan and Task Management RESTful (or like) API.
Some calls might do the following:
Get Plans
Get Buckets From Plan
Get Tasks From Bucket
Add Plan
Add User to Plan
Add Bucket to Plan
Add Task to Bucket
Assign Task to UserThis could open up so many possibilities. I would use it to create tasks for users (like tickets) and all the notification and time tracking would be handled by the Planner Application.

Get Task History
It would be nice to have an API that gives us all of a task's history including entry and exit dates per bucket ID using this kind of Graph API endpoint: GET /planner/tasks/<id>/history

Create Plans from Microsoft Flow
In Microsoft Flow, you can create tasks and buckets, but you cant create plans. It would be very helpful to create plans in automated flow.

I’d like to better understand the ask for creating plans from Microsoft Flow. What scenarios/flows would you create with this action?
Thank you!

Different Levels of Notifications/Members/Assigned Tasks
I am looking to be able to send Notifications/updates on Tasks to only the Task owner(s), not all members of the group, OR the ability to assign Tasks to non-members of the Plan.
For example. Supervisor has created a Plan of misc. tasks and created different Buckets for each admin in department. When I update Tasks in my Bucket, each admin Member of the Plan recieves Notifications that are not pertinant to them. Additionally, when I try to add individuals that I am working with to one of my Tasks, I am unable to do so if the Task is…52 votes -

would be great if we could add another assignee to a task (in case we are working in tandem)

Create Planner Tasks with VBA
Would like to be able to automate the creation of tasks for projects with a template concept using VBA.
We create similar tasks for projects consistently. I'd love to be able to hit a button from Access, Excel or even PowerApps to create the ~15 tasks each time we create a project - rather than creating an Excel file and copy and pasting each one.38 votes -
An api for Trello
An API for Trello would be great. Or at least an export/import option to migrate data.

Be able to send a email to a mail box to put in tasks

Promote a Group conversation to a Task
Emails posted to the Group should be promotable to Plan/Bucket along with their attachments with appropriate metadata mapping, i.e Subject -> Task title etc. We can also establish conventions like @<user> on the subject would be mapped to Assignee etc
A similar facility is used quite extensively in Trello to accommodate integration scenarios with external apps but this Use Case is covered well in O365 with Connectors. The unique selling point of Groups is that are email-enabled therefore can act as a Queue/Routing Point for other actions, either manually (explicit UI actions) or automatic.
This would require the addition of…32 votes -

Allow Application permission type for Planner Graph API calls
Organizations should be able to use application-only permissions to make API calls to Microsoft Graph to get planner details. This would be used in service or daemon styled applications which poll to collect usage information.

Planner Task Attachment API
Within Planner Tasks, The only way a Link can be added is through attachment. However in current Graph API, there is no way to read task's link attachment, or to add a link attachment to a task. So here is a list of APIs that I would request:
- read list of task link attachment and its description
- update a link attachment/description
- add a link attachment/description to the task24 votes -
For Tasks, provide a "Last Modified DateTime" attribute
Provide a better way to allow integrating systems to detect changes within existing tasks or discover new tasks.
This can be simply achieved by:
1. Add a lastModifedDateTime attribute to the Planner Task, and
2. Add the ability to filter the list of tasks based on a supplied lastModifiedDateTime value. This will need to be modified whenever any attribute within the Task aggregate is changed.
Other options (that would be helpful) include (1) providing a Version Number on the Task, or (2) Guid/Checksum that changes on every change. Whilst we couldn't meaningfully filter on these, we could at least use…

Planner MyTasks webpart in Sharepoint
Update the webpart into sharepoint to have the "My Tasks" view available. Now we can only integrate one or many plans linked to the same group and cannot embed a full tasks review.

Extracting Tasks Associated To Users In Planner
I am working on data integration for planner making API calls for reporting purposes.
I am surprised why this feature (Tasks Associated To User) has not been enabled, as rest are enabled in planner.
Everything below works when I am a Member of plan.
Plans In Group
Plan Buckets
Plan Details
Plan Tasks
Task Details
List Of Users
Group Conversations…EtcThen why not Tasks Associated To Users for the Plans which are shared can be extracted? It’s only working when I am the owner of that particular plan, and I don’t think one…
