  2. I really loved it. But I am wondering if there can be multiple task owners for one task.

    I created a task, which has two owners in actual. For example, there is a presentation being conducted by two members, I should be able to make two owners instead of one.

  3. Checklist Improvement

    The checklists need to be more edit friendly. Also sometimes my checklists that I fill out with 10-12 pieces of information either completely disappear or half way disappear. Sometimes my descriptions also disappear.

  4. Due date notification

    If a task is late (the due date has passed), please make sure to send a notification to both the owner and anyone related to the task (coworkers, team leader,...).

  5. Increase task description character limit

    The current 1,000 character limit for tasks description is far too small. This should be increased massively or be unlimited.

  6. Copy a task

    Need the ability to copy a task, including the checklists and other items within the task. This would allow one to set up a template task, then create many tasks using that template task. This is a different request than the many copy suggestions that have been made already.

  7. Allow Tasks to be moved between Plans/Boards.

    Currently you can only move Tasks to different Buckets within a Plan/Board. It would be very useful to be able to also copy or move them to different Plans/Boards that you are a member of.

    Thank you for your feedback! We’ve improved the ‘Copy task’ dialogue so you can chose a different plan to send a copy of a task to! We’ll be exploring and expanding the ways in which you and your team can organize work in Planner, and hope this will be a helpful step forward.

  9. Show task progress by Bucket, not just by Member

    On the Charts screen, there is a large graphic showing task progress by Member. Add the ability to pivot this on Bucket as well.

    Thanks for everyone’s patience on this item. We’ve completed our first item in this space. We now set Task Activity Email Notifications (Assign and Complete) to Off By Default. Plan/Group owners can turn this setting on/off in the “Edit Plan” dialog.

    We still have additional work planned in this area such as providing more granular controls to which activities will trigger notifications and more control over cases where you’ve been assigned tasks.

    Hello All! The priority feature is complete! Priority is rolled out to production across the Web and Teams. It’s also available in the mobile app an in the beta endpoint for the MS graph API. We’ve also updated the charts view to include a priority chart .

    Please give it a try and let us know what you think! If there’s something you’d like us to improve upon, please find and vote on that suggestion or create a new one so we can prioritize accordingly.

  15. Offer option to stop posting Planner activities in Group conversations

    Group conversations get quite cluttered with activities in Planner eg. Task xyz assigned to John Smith. Would like the option to turn this off

  16. Allow external users to view/edit tasks.

    We have sub consultants that we collaborate with on a daily basis. It would be nice to have different levels of permissions to view tasks, edit tasks, and / or create tasks.

  17. Ability to filter cards by people, labels and tags

    Ability to filter the cards on a board by people, labels and tags to be able to view e.g. only the cards with a specific label or with a specific hashtag in the title

    We’ve just released a Filter menu in Planner where you can filter tasks by due date, label, or assignee. You can also enter a keyword to search for a task by it’s title!

  18. Instead of 1 to 1, allow Groups to have many Plans

    Right now, groups have a 1 to 1 relationship (1 Group = 1 Plan), would be nice for a single group to have multiple plans

    Thanks for all your feedback and for using Planner. We’re happy to announce that new Planner mobile apps are now available for Android phones and iPhone. This is just the start and we look forward to adding many additional features to these apps in the coming months.
