  1. Planner Comments should be sent to people assigned to the Card

    I certainly appreciate that sending comments to everyone in the group is a bad idea. Why not send the comment only to whoever is Assigned to that card.

    This current solution where only people that have made comments get notices makes the comments completely unusable for communicating to people that are responsible for the card. For example, I’d like the ask the person assigned to the card, what their progress is? They don’t get the message any longer. The only people that get the message are people that have made comments.

  2. Notifications for GCC Tenants

    Send notifications for Planner in GCC tenant. Users should receive an email when a task has been assigned, updated, or due date.

  3. Notifications in Teams to all assigned to a task when commenting

    We strongly need Planner to post notifications in Teams activity feed, to all assigned to a task that is being commented on.

  4. Planner comment notifications

    Planner email notifications for comments do not go to those who are added to the task after its creation. If someone is added to a task after it was created, they need to post two pointless comments on the task before they start getting email notifications when others comment on it, Microsoft reps have confirmed for me that this is by design.

    Proposed solution:
    Users that are assigned a task should ALWAYS get email notifications for the comments on that task, whether or not they have commented twice, or are assigned after the tasks creation. To improve this feature further,…

    Please enable Planner email notifications (individual assignments and due dates) for GCC High (GCCH). This feature is currently available in commercial and there has been no progress communicated regarding the development of these features.

  7. Update the task name in email notifications when the task name is changed

    When a Planner task's name is changed, future notifications from that task retain the original task name. Please modify the email subject with the updated task's name.

  8. Notify Teams when A Comment is Added to a task

    It would be great if there was a feature that would allow any task activity such as comments to be sent as a Teams notification, but only to the people assigned to the task.

  9. Notify people assigned to a Task when it is changed/updated or when a comment is captured

    A colleague and I own a task, however when I added a comment and changed the due date on it, I was the only one receiving an email about it, which is really pointless given I know what changes I made and would rather the other people assigned to it received that email/notification/update... Please can this be changed?

  10. Option to disable notifications to the entire team when commenting on a task

    PLEASE allow owners the option to disable notifications to the entire team when commenting on a task.

    Owners/Members should be able to send comments ONLY to the individual(s) assigned.

    Also, it would be great to have the option for the comment to be sent via CHAT or email.

  11. Tasks by Planner and To Do: Task notification in Teams app

    To Do tasks can be notified by setting reminder in Planner web app, but if you use Tasks by Planner and To Do in Teams app, you are not be able to set Task notification. Please add task reminder setting in Tasks by Planner and To Do in Teams.

  13. Add an option to adjust delivery times for Late task notifications

    Add a feature for delivery times, I'd rather receive a notification at 7:00 am versus 3:19 am...that feature has been turned off.

  14. Notifications in MS Teams (instead of Email)

    MS Teams integration is great, but having task notifications go to that person,via MS Teams (w/ link to the task) vs email would be way better.
    The whole point of teams is closer collaboration and cut down on email messages that can just be a quick Teams message.

  15. Integrate Planner Notifications with Teams Notifications

    Allow users to choose for planner notifications to show up in Teams rather than in Email. We are using Teams for all inter-office communication and I receive notifications from Teams when I have a message there, but we still receive notifications in our email inboxes when we have a task assigned to us. If all notifications could happen in one location, ie. teams, it would be much simpler for everyone.

  16. Alternative Workflow to Push a Comment to member Inbox

    I recently migrated our company from Trello over to Planner and I am having some trouble figuring out a protocol for the comments. While it is great that comments will get pushed to the work Inbox of anyone participating: this necessitates participation to begin with. There is no @schema to push a comment to someone else who might need to see it. If the @schema is just not possible perhaps it would be simpler to add a "Request Reply in Task" option below you comment. This would in effect post the comment as normal but also open the Outlook interface…

  17. Planner should not email comments to whole team

    Comments made on a task should not got to everyone on the team site. Should only go to those following the channel where the planner resides.

  18. Improve notification settings granularity

    Currently, the only notifications categories to be turned on/off are:
    Someone assigns a task to me. (Email, Teams, and mobile push)
    A task assigned to me is late, due today, or due in the next 7 days. (Email only)

    Instead, what would be great it to separate each type of notification into it's own rule so users can toggle each notification. For instance, I want to turn off notifications for tasks due in the next 7 days, but keep the rest.

    Furthermore, I should be able to select which types of notifications I receive for each notification category. For example,…

  19. When members assigned to a task see a posted comment in their email, post their email response as a comment in Planner.

    When I post a comment to a task in Planner, that comment is sent as an email to those members assigned the task. That's great - it gets the message to those who aren't looking directly at Planner. The problem is that when they respond to the email, those comments aren't posted to Planner, so the record of the comment is lost. Can you add those email responses to the task in Planner? Asana does this, and it's a great feature. I use Planner as a daily workflow tool, so this feature is a great way to get and track…
