To summarize these requests, we’d like the following:
1) The ability to add and remove labels.
2) When the “Group by Labels” option is selected, the ability to change the order of the columns (e.g., “Move right” and “Move left” similar to the “Group by Bucket” column)
3) In the Task view, the ability to change the order of the label tabs.
4) The ability to change the color of the labels and add more colors.

Guest users should be notified by e-mail for any new assignments, due dates and late tasks. At the moment, only Members and Owners receive reminders for assigned tasks.
1. When a task is assigned to a guest, they should receive an e-mail with the information sent to their e-mail address outside of the Office 365 tenant.
2. Reminders sent to the guest's e-mail address

We want to be able to see Completed tasks in the 'Bucket' chart. It makes no sense to hide them!
Also, could the completed tasks not be crossed out, so they're easier to read once completed.
This task was CLOSED since the description said "copy or move" but the response is clearly we want to do what the subject line said.
Currently you can only move Tasks to different Buckets within a Plan/Board. It would be very useful to be able to also move them to different Plans/Boards and retain history when reorganizing or re-assigning tasks.43 votes
For all comments, email notifications need to be sent to all assigned to that task. That is the main use of Planner. If team members have completed their task; they can remove themselves from the assigned list, to stop the unwanted emails.49 votes
Planner is a great application, but it definitely needs a desktop option, similar to Teams, for those of us at work. I love having Planner on my phone, but I would like to optimize planner via my desktop on M-F.108 votes
Being able to copy tasks is great, but PLEASE allow us to 1) duplicate / copy bucket lists and 2) Duplicate / copy entire plans (i.e., create a template. PLEASE!!!!!!!116 votes
It would be nice to be able to create custom status’s for your board.
We use additional status’s for when we are working on a task. For example something may be in progress but we would set the status to Waiting on Customer or Pending Testing.
It would be great to create our own status’s that can be applied to the Plan for better tracking.61 votes

The ability to assign individual checklist items and designate a due date within a task leading up to the overall task due date.
A task has a due date, but within the task the checklist items can also have their own due date and assigned group member to complete all needs before the actual task due date.73 votes

Enable the users to add Custom Fields. Please refer to Trello's "Custom Fields" add on.
Also, the Custom Fields should be exportable in the excel report which is planned to be developed in the feedback list.75 votes
The ability to add multiple checklist to a Planner Card significantly increases the flexibility of use cases for Planner Cards. Additionally, adding the ability to add due dates to each item on a checklist enhances the ability to manage the activity documented in the Card.126 votes

Like in MS Project, we need to create the Parent Task and Sub-Tasks and Sub-Tasks of Sub Tasks and so on. If I am creating a webpage I need to create the Parent Task HOME and all sub-tasks (elements) that are included in HOME PAGE. Sub-Tasks of Sub Tasks would be the Sub Pages from the Parent HOME Page and so on. PARENT Task would have option to add Sub-Tasks. When we see the Parent Task we will also able to see all the sub-tasks list. If there are Sub-Tasks of Sub-Tasks we would also see in Parent task. This would be the list in Parent task:

It would be great if individual tasks could be tagged as private (or sharing could be managed specifically rather than just sharing all tasks in a planner with all members of that planner).
I would like to manage all of my tasks on 1 plan, so it would be useful if I could add my Private tasks to a team planner then mark them as private so they can only be seen by me (or only me + my manager).20 votes
