Provide the ability to create Plan templates with existing tasks that can then be used to create a new plan
Rather than having to create every plan from scratch it would be good if the system allowed for the creation of Templates with pre-existing tasks (like in Word/Excel). This would allow a new plan and its tasks to be created from a template saving a lot of time.3,398 votes

To give an update, we’ve completed our first step of this deliverable, which is the ability to copy a task within a board. We have now planned and scheduled work to deliver copy plan functionality! We have a few more work items to complete before the end of this year, but hope to begin work on copy plan soon after. Your feedback has been very helpful in understanding how we can best deliver this feature.
As we work on copy plan, we will be exploring how a template experience can further help Planner users get things done. What are the ways in which you would like to use a template in Planner?

OK, so working out loud is good.... to a limit. Please enable settings that reduce the very high spam content currently coming from planner. Not everyone in the group wants to know ever movement on every task. Enable users to subscribe to various types of events on tasks. Hopefully at some time there will be some consistent settings like priority etc, that can be used as user selectable alert filtering.3,273 votes
Thanks for all the feedback! Based off all the comments, we’re focusing on email notifications for the following scenarios:
1. When a task is assigned to you
2. Changes on a task assigned to you
3. Comments on a task assigned to you
4. When you are @ mentioned in a task comment
Our team is currently working on email notifications when a task is assigned to you, and have started planning for the other scenarios. We’re also considering notifications for when you choose to follow a task.
We will continue to monitor the comments here and provide ongoing updates. We appreciate your feedback, so please continue to let us know how you’ll use notifications and if we’re missing anything!
Currently you can only move Tasks to different Buckets within a Plan/Board. It would be very useful to be able to also copy or move them to different Plans/Boards that you are a member of.3,154 votes
Thank you for the feedback! We have added this feature to our roadmap and are currently figuring out how to create the best experience around this. As we work on this, we’d love to hear more about your specific scenarios for moving tasks between plans, and what information from a task you would like to move over.

We have also noted that some comments are interested in the same functionality for moving buckets between plans – we will keep this in mind and address this after we complete copying a task between plans.

Emails consume too much time and energy. As an email user I want to only view an email once and should be able to reply/forward to a person or Outlook Group/SharePoint Site, schedule a Planner task, and/or archive the email for future reference.2,542 votes

We have started development on a Filter feature that includes the ability to filter tasks within a board using keywords. This would allow users to quickly find tasks they are looking for based on a search term.
Beyond finding a task within a board, we have noticed a lot of comments mentioned searching for items across plans in the Planner hub. We have taken note of this and would love to hear more about the specific scenarios you could use this functionality for so that we can create a great experience around this.
Right now, groups have a 1 to 1 relationship (1 Group = 1 Plan), would be nice for a single group to have multiple plans2,187 votes

We are still thinking about how we can best build this feature and are considering adding the ability to “Group by due date” within the Board and My Tasks view. What do you all think about this direction? We would love to hear more about specific scenarios you would be able to accomplish with this, or what would be most helpful to you and your team.
Currently tasks can be viewed by Assigned To only within a particular Project. It would be helpful to search globally in Planner by Assigned To rather than having to review assignments Plan by Plan. This change would make evaluation of workloads much easier.1,500 votes

Most of our tasks come in via email, a simple button to convert it to a planner task would be imperative, otherwise it renders the planner a little bit pointless for us.1,291 votes

As I saw that when you delete a Plan all conversations, Groups etc are deleted could be useful to have another Status for that Plans, maybe an "Archived" status, maybe visible in another dashboard or something similar.1,233 votes
